Things To Do At Miami Florida - Jungle Island

Downtown Miami.

Downtown Miami's business district is a local powerhouse driving domestic and international affairs.  Soaring skyscrapers set the dramatic stage for the cosmopolitan activity taking place in the "Manhattan of the South".  On Brickell Road, visitors will find a high concentration of sophisticated boutiques, upscale dining options and museums.  Situated in the center of downtown Miami, you'll find the Port of Miami, home to dozens of cruise ships, Bayfront Park, American Airlines Arena and the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

On Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami is the third largest performing arts center in the United States. The Arsht Center of the Performing Arts known simply as the Arsht Center, was originally Art Deco in design when constructed in 1929. However, modern reconstruction of the Arsht Center has left only the Art Deco tower as a reminder to its cultural past. The Arsht Center hosts an array of theater, dance, concerts, children’s entertainment and comedy shows. Home to the Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet and the New World Symphony, the Arsht Center offers amazing views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. Everglades National Park.

The Everglades National Park immerses visitors in southwest Florida’s natural splendor. The West Indian manatee and American crocodile swim beneath the brackish waters of the Everglade marshlands, and rivers lined with mangrove and cypress trees snake southeast through coastal lowlands and marine estuaries. Created in 1947 to help protect the Everglade’s precious ecosystem, Everglade’s National Park features hundreds of different varieties of fish and plants as well as plenty of trails and campgrounds.
